Turn confidently and refine your technique on groomed slopes based on the construction, geometric, and technological characteristics of the Element 78 RS skis.
The Element 78 RS enhances skiing knowledge and improves technique regardless of skiing background. The WaveMotion technology combines a wavy design that allows for easy bending of the skis with torsional stiffness for better carving with a stable feel, while the extended sidecut of the skis ensures confident edge grip. The sintered base ensures exceptional gliding.
The new WaveMotion technology includes construction elements in the shape of waves that allow for easier bending of the skis for improved carving abilities and greater torsional stability. The skis are also made with Extended Sidewall technology, which enhances edge grip and power transfer to the snow. The result of the unique combination of construction characteristics is a ski that is not only forgiving and user-friendly but also extremely versatile and easily handles various skiing conditions and terrains.

ELAN Element 78 RS 2024/2025 skis are designed for intermediate and advanced skiers who want to improve their carving technique and ski in a stable, precise and confident manner. The solid yet sufficiently forgiving construction enables reliable control on groomed runs and in slightly variable snow conditions.
The width under the ski binding ranges between 75 and 78 mm, depending on ski length, providing an excellent balance between maneuverability and stability. The skis allow quick transitions between edges, smooth linking of turns and calm riding at medium and higher speeds.
WaveMotion technology uses a wave-shaped construction that allows easy longitudinal flexing of the ski while maintaining good torsional stability. The result is easier turn initiation, more efficient energy transfer and better edge grip.
Dual Woodcore wooden core improves stability and power transmission. Two wooden load-bearing elements along the outer edges of the core provide reliable grip, balanced flex and predictable response in various snow conditions.
EST Sidewall construction enables direct energy transfer to the edges and increases stability throughout the entire turn. The Early Rise Rocker profile with a slightly raised tip facilitates entry into the turn and enables smooth transitions between edges.
High-quality sintered base ensures good gliding and greater durability. Elan Element 78 RS is therefore an excellent choice for skiers who prefer carving skis for groomed runs with good grip, stability and a sufficiently friendly response for all-day use.
THE SKIS INCLUDE ELAN EL 10.0 GW SHIFT BINDINGS WITH A DIN RANGE OF 3–10.
EL 10.0 GW Shift bindings provide efficient connection between the ski boot and the ski and reliable energy transfer. The GW designation means they are also compatible with GripWalk ski boots.
The Light Shift or LS system keeps the weight of the set low, ensures balanced positioning on the skis and allows adjustment to different ski boot sole lengths.
For safety reasons, the binding must be set by a trained ski service technician according to the length of the ski boot, body weight, height, age and skiing skill.

The wavy WaveMotion design allows the ski to flex easily along its length while maintaining the necessary torsional stability. The skier therefore initiates turns easily, and the edges remain reliably in contact with the surface.
The Dual Woodcore wood core uses two symmetrical wooden support elements along the outer edges of the ski. The construction improves energy transfer, stability and edge grip while maintaining pleasant handling.
The extended sidewall construction enables more direct energy transfer to the edges. The result is better grip, greater stability and more precise steering of the ski through the turn.
The slightly raised tip makes entering a turn simpler and smoother. The profile reduces the risk of edge catching and makes the transition from one side to the other easier.
The sintered base absorbs wax well, ensures reliable gliding and offers greater durability in various snow conditions. For optimal performance, regular servicing and waxing are recommended.
The Light Shift system creates a light and balanced connection between the skis and bindings. It enables efficient energy transfer, easy binding adjustment and less fatiguing all-day skiing.
