Warranty and material defects

Warranty
In accordance with the law, the manufacturer is obliged to provide the buyer with a warranty for the faultless operation of the goods purchased. The buyer may claim under the warranty directly with the manufacturer or its authorised service centre. The buyer may claim under the warranty with the warranty card and the seller's invoice.
The manufacturer is obliged to carry out the warranty repair within 45 days of receiving the goods; otherwise it must replace the item with another, equivalent and faultless item.
The buyer may also claim under the warranty with the seller, but in this case, too, the provision of the previous paragraph applies. Goods are returned under warranty in accordance with the conditions stated by the manufacturer on the warranty card. Shipping costs are always borne by the sender, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Material defect
The consumer may exercise their rights in respect of a material defect if they notify the seller of the defect within two months of the day on which the defect was discovered. In the notice, the consumer must describe the defect precisely and allow the seller to inspect the item. The company is liable for material defects in goods that appear within two (2) years of discovery of the defect, and the company must respond to the complaint within 8 days.
The seller is not liable for material defects in goods that appear after two years have passed since the item was delivered. A defect in an item is deemed to have existed at the time of delivery if it appears within six months of delivery. To claim for a material defect, fill in the form available HERE.
The right to claim for a material defect in an item is governed in more detail by the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot)
- if the goods do not have the properties necessary for their normal use or for trade;
- if the goods do not have the properties necessary for the particular use for which the buyer is buying them, which was known or should have been known to the seller;
- if the goods do not have the properties and qualities that were expressly or tacitly agreed or prescribed;
- if the seller delivered goods that do not match the sample or model, unless the sample or model was shown for information only.
