PowerLine Technology is one of the key technologies of the ELAN WILDCAT 80 C model.
It is designed to improve energy transfer, edge grip and stability during skiing.
The technology uses strategically placed reinforcements along the inner edge of the ski, working with the asymmetric Amphibio profile design.
This construction enables a more direct energy transfer to the inner edge, while the outer edge remains more manoeuvrable, contributing to easier initiation and finishing of turns.
Precise energy transfer: more efficient edge control.
Better grip: more stable skiing on groomed slopes.
Toroidal stability: better control during turns.
Easier manoeuvrability: relaxed change of direction.
Dynamic responsiveness: smooth transitions between turns.
Balanced construction: combination of stability and handling.
Increased confidence: more predictable ski behavior.
When carving, the ski must effectively transfer pressure to the edges.
PowerLine Technology uses reinforcements in the areas most needed during carving to improve the stability of the inner edge.
At the same time, it allows the outer edge to remain more controllable, aiding in easier initiation and finish of the turn.
Amphibio Profile is one of Elan’s most recognizable technologies.
It combines camber and rocker profile properties in an asymmetric ski construction.
The inner edge uses camber for more effective grip, while the outer edge uses a rocker profile for easier turning and more relaxed handling.
Precise grip on the inner edge: stable carving skiing.
Easier initiation of turns: less effort when changing direction.
Smoother turning: natural transition between edges.
More stability: predictable ski behavior.
Less tiredness: more efficient management.
Versatility: suitable for different snow conditions.
More confidence: easier ski control.
The camber profile on the inner edge enables more effective edge contact with the snow.
This is especially important for carving turns and skiing on hard groomed slopes.
The rocker profile on the outer edge allows easier initiation of turns and reduces edge snagging feel.
On conventional skis both edges often have to perform the same function.
Amphibio Profile enables different behavior of the inner and outer edge, contributing to a better balance between stability and easy handling.
Carbon Reinforcement is an important part of the construction of the ELAN WILDCAT 80 C skis.
Carbon reinforcements provide additional stiffness and responsiveness while enabling lower weight compared to some metallic reinforcements.
