The children's back protector FLAXTA BEHOLD 2 YOUTH BLACK is an advanced protective sleeveless vest, specially developed for growing children and teenagers who want reliable back protection, comfort and complete freedom of movement while skiing or snowboarding.
The BEHOLD 2 YOUTH model fills the size gap between children's Junior protectors and adult models. It is intended for young athletes who ski faster, perform more demanding turns and need protective equipment adapted to their body build.
It is equipped with the updated protective plate AVA (Absorb, Vent, Adapt), featuring improved impact absorption and a new generation of breathable materials. The exceptionally thin profile allows comfortable wear under a ski jacket without restricting movement.
The protective vest is certified to the European standard EN 1621-2 Level 1 and features a removable elastic belt for additional fit adjustment.
AVA is an advanced protective technology of the FLAXTA brand, developed in cooperation with experts in polymer materials.
It is based on a special viscoelastic polymer that combines impact absorption, efficient ventilation and body adaptability.
The viscoelastic protective plate deforms in a controlled way upon impact and increases its stiffness. It thus helps absorb and distribute the energy of the impact and reduce the force transmitted to the back.
The open structure of the protective plate allows air circulation and helps reduce the build-up of heat and moisture during intense skiing.
The flexible construction adapts to the body's natural movements and allows unhindered performance of turns, forward bends, jumps and other sports movements.
FLAXTA BEHOLD 2 YOUTH uses an updated protective plate with a high capacity for impact absorption.
The new construction is designed for young athletes who reach higher speeds while skiing and snowboarding and perform more demanding movements.
Improved impact absorption: updated protective plate.
Viscoelastic material: helps reduce the transmitted force.
High flexibility: adapts to the natural movement of the body.
Open protective structure: efficient air circulation.
Slim profile: comfortable to wear under a ski jacket.
Lightweight construction: less feeling of strain during activity.
FLAXTA BEHOLD 2 YOUTH is certified to the European standard EN 1621-2 Level 1, which defines requirements and test methods for back protectors.
Protection level | Maximum permitted average transmitted force |
|---|---|
Level 1 | 18 kN |
Level 2 | 9 kN |
A lower transmitted force means a higher level of energy absorption in the standardized test.
The BEHOLD 2 YOUTH model achieves Level 1, combining certified protection, flexibility and comfort.
The protector can reduce the risk or severity of some injuries, but it does not guarantee complete protection against back or spine injuries.
Low-Profile Design is one of the key advantages of FLAXTA protective vests.
The protective plate is designed to provide protection with a small thickness and high adaptability.
Slim protective construction.
Minimal additional volume under the ski jacket.
Comfortable and snug fit.
Natural body movement.
Suitable for longer use on the slopes.
The BEHOLD 2 YOUTH model uses modern materials specially adapted to intense skiing and snowboarding.
The lightweight, flexible and breathable construction helps reduce heat build-up and allows more comfortable wear during longer activity.
The open structure of the AVA protective plate additionally contributes to ventilation.
FLAXTA BEHOLD 2 YOUTH has a specially shaped cut adapted to the body build of growing athletes.
The model fills the gap between smaller children's protectors and adult sizes.
A cut adapted to teenagers.
Comfortable and stable fit.
Flexible construction.
Unhindered movement while skiing and snowboarding.
Suitable for girls and boys.

The main difference is in the size range and cut. The YOUTH model is specially designed for young athletes who have already outgrown smaller children's protectors, but adult sizes do not yet fit them.
Wear the back protector over a thin base layer of sportswear.
The protective plate must fit correctly on the back and must not move excessively during movement.
If necessary, adjust the elastic belt.
Wear a ski jacket over the protection that allows unobstructed movement.
Before each use, check the condition of the protector and its fit.
To maintain the protective properties, we recommend:
Regularly inspect the protective panel and vest.
Remove surface dirt with a soft damp cloth.
Drying at room temperature.
Avoiding direct sources of high heat.
Avoid aggressive cleaning agents and solvents.
Store in a dry and well-ventilated place.
Follow the care instructions on the original label.
Check the protection after every strong impact.
Important: After a strong impact, the protective plate may be damaged even without visible external signs. If damage is suspected, replace the protector.
FLAXTA BEHOLD 2 YOUTH is an excellent choice for growing skiers and snowboarders who need quality back protection in a size between children's and adult models.
The updated AVA protective plate provides impact absorption, the new generation of breathable materials improves comfort, and the thin profile allows unhindered movement under a ski jacket.
EN 1621-2 Level 1 certification confirms the protective properties, and the removable elastic strap allows additional adjustment.
