The Elan Ripstick Tour 88 W skis are what the touring ski world has been eagerly awaiting. Lightweight, buoyant, fast, stable, strong, and versatile all at once. The skis are designed by female freeriders and mountain guides who always demand perfection in use. The breakthrough new construction of the Elan Ripstick Tour 88 has allowed for a reduction in ski weight to a minimum while maintaining excellent riding characteristics, but preserving playfulness throughout the entire tour. A width of 88 mm underfoot means lightness, agility, and skill in skiing, making it the right modern touring ski.
The free touring ski segment is a trend in alpinism; a combination of lightweight equipment that works as a whole and remains stable in various snow conditions is essential. The Ripstick Tour 88 W is just wide enough for descents and just narrow enough for comfortable long ascents, giving it a wide range of use. At approximately 1170 g per ski, we aimed for the optimal weight for women's touring skis without sacrificing stability and performance on descents. With carefully designed CARBON BRIDGE technology, we implemented reinforcement from carbon rods, transferring energy to the skis for a calm feel with playful rebound. The length of the carbon reinforcement is designed to reduce vibrations and prevent tip drifting. The reduced sidecut shape gives the ski a unique look with functional weight reduction, while the overall sidecut increases pressure on the edge and contact with the snow. With a freeride profile and shape, we ensured that this is the perfect combination of weight and performance ratio for all female skiers in all conditions found on the mountain.
