The Elan Ripstick Tour 88 is the ski that the touring ski world has been waiting for. Lightweight, buoyant, fast, stable, strong, and versatile all at once. Designed and developed in collaboration with skiers and mountain guides to meet all demands wherever it will be used. The breakthrough new construction of the Elan Ripstick Tour 88 has allowed for the weight of the skis to be minimized while maintaining excellent riding characteristics, but preserving playfulness throughout the entire tour. A width of 88 mm underfoot means lightness, agility, and skill in skiing, making it a true modern touring ski.
The free touring segment of skis is a trend in alpinism; a combination of lightweight equipment that works as a whole and remains stable in various snow conditions is essential. The Ripstick Tour 88 is just wide enough for descents and just narrow enough for comfortable long ascents, giving it a wide range of use. At approximately 1250 g per ski at a length of 170 cm, we aimed for the optimal weight of a touring ski without sacrificing stability and performance on the descent. Combined with the 305-g C Raider binding and Ripstick 88 Tour skin, Elan offers a complete lightweight package that impresses with its usability. With carefully designed CARBON BRIDGE technology, we implemented reinforcement from carbon rods, transferring energy to the skis for a calm feel with playful rebound. The length of the carbon reinforcement is designed to reduce vibrations and tip drifting. The reduced sidecut shape gives the ski a unique look with functional weight reduction, while the overall sidewall increases pressure on the edge and contact with the snow. With a freeride profile and shape, we ensured that this is the perfect combination of weight and performance ratio for all skiers in all conditions found on the mountain.
