ELAN GSX Master Plate 17/18 racing skis are intended for former competitors, Masters category skiers, and excellent skiers who demand maximum stability, exceptional edge grip, and precise control at high speeds.
These are high-performance downhill racing skis that feel best on hard and well-prepared slopes. A longer radius allows calm and fast downhill turns, while a competition-oriented construction provides direct power transfer and strong acceleration at the end of a turn.
The Arrow Technology combines a specially shaped titanial reinforcement and an Arrow Carbon Plate that effectively directs energy toward the edges. The result is exceptionally precise steering, reliable grip on hard surfaces, and explosive rebound out of the turn.
The competition wooden core Response Frame Woodcore ensures a stable and even flex of the ski. The Dual Ti reinforcement with two layers of titanium increases torsional stiffness, dampens unwanted vibrations, and keeps the skis calm even at very high speeds.
The RST Sidewall construction enables direct energy transfer to the edges and maximum contact with the ground. The Arrow Rocker profile helps initiate the turn, and the long effective edge provides stability and complete control throughout the entire arc.
The fast-glide NanoTech Running Base is designed for high speed and competitive use on groomed slopes. Elan GSX Master Plate thus represents an excellent choice for physically well-prepared skiers who want the true feel of competition downhill skis.
SKI BINDINGS ARE NOT INCLUDED AND MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY.
The EP 11.5 DUO plate, in combination with the Arrow Carbon Plate, improves energy transfer, increases steering precision, and allows stronger pressure on the edges. As part of the original system, the model was designed for a competition binding Elan ER 17.0 FF EVO.
Before purchasing bindings, you must check compatibility with the mounted plate. Binding mounting and release setting should be performed by a qualified ski technician based on the length of the ski boot, body weight, height, age, and skiing ability.

Arrow Technology uses a shaped titanial reinforcement and a carbon plate that direct energy toward the edges. The skis thus provide precise grip, strong rebound, and efficient energy transfer throughout the entire turn.
The carbon plate increases the responsiveness of the ski and enables faster power transfer. When loaded, the ski tensions, and on exit from the turn, stored energy is converted into a strong acceleration.
Two layers of titanium above and below the wooden core increase stability, torsional stiffness, and edge grip. The construction keeps the skis calm and precise even at very high speeds.
The competition wooden core runs along the entire length of the ski, ensuring direct power transfer, uniform flex, and excellent stability.
Vertical sidewalls allow precise energy transfer to the edges and reliable grip along the whole length of the ski. The construction is designed for powerful skiing on hard groomed slopes.
The Arrow Rocker profile eases the initiation of the turn, while the long effective edge maintains stability, grip, and control at higher speeds.
The fast competition running base provides excellent glide and efficient acceleration. For maintaining optimal performance regular servicing, structuring, and waxing are recommended.
The competition plate improves pressure transfer to the edges, increases steering precision, and allows proper mounting of compatible competition bindings.

175 cm – a slightly more agile version for shorter downhill turns.
180 cm – a balanced choice for fast and longer turns.
185 cm – the most demanding version for maximum stability, very high speeds, and long downhill turns.
With this model, length choice is not determined solely by height. Due to the racing construction, you should primarily consider skill, body weight, strength, and skiing style.
Masters category competitors,
former competitors,
very good and excellent skiers,
physically well-prepared skiers,
enthusiasts of long and fast downhill turns,
skier who want maximum grip on hard surfaces.
Because of the high stiffness, competitive construction, and longer radius, they are not suitable for beginners, slow skiing, or predominantly short and relaxed turns.
